    William Clyde Macier was born to Charles Eldon Macier (1879 - 1979) and Doris Tunnicliffe Macier (1898 - 1964). He had siblings Charles Nelson (1918 - 1999) and David F. Macier (1933 - 1997). When William Macier was age 20, he was living in Illinois and was employed by E. I. DuPont in electrical maintenance. William Clyde Macier enlisted in the Navy on November 20, 1943, and was discharged on April 3, 1946. He was a veteran of World War II. He was 6 feet tall and weighed 168 pounds, with hazel eyes, brown hair, and a "light" complexion. Bill married Ruth Kegley on October 12, 1946, in Joliet and she survived him.     Lake of Egypt - William C. Macier, 74 died at 5:46 pm Saturday, October 12, 1996 at home. Bill retired in 1973 from Camp Pendleton CA as a civil service electrician. He was a Catholic and he served as Egypt Shores' board secretary. Bill was born May 14, 1922 in Joliet to Charles Eldon and Doris (Tunicliffe) Macier. He married Ruth Kegley October 12, 1946 in Joliet and she survives. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge and burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. He is survived by his wife; 5 sons and 4 daughters-in-law, William G and Julie Macier of Green Bay WI, Gary M. and Margaret Macier of Hadonfield NJ, John S and Barbara Macier of Marion, Jeff L. and Anne Macier of Escondido CA and Phillip Macier of Lake of Egypt, 7 grandchildren, 4 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law; Bessie Rizzo of Deltona FL, Phyllis and Richard Brennan of Gurnee, Bettie Pebbles of Galena, Doris and Bill McCann of Gurnee; 6 brothers and sisters-in-law; Charles and Mary Macier of Coal City, Robert and Fran Macier of Saratoga NY, Bud and Leone of Mountain Home AR, Donald and Kathy Macier of Gambriel AR, Dale and Ruth Macier of Gurnee and Raymond and Ruth Macier of Naples FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Julie Macier October 7, 1994.
