William Charles Weir of Barina Road, in Melbourne, Vic Australia was born in 1872 at home Laurie street, in Ballarat East, County of Bourke County to Elizabeth Anderson Weir. He had a brother Duncan Weir. He married Jane Eliza (Tolliday) Weir, and had a child Charles Royce Curtis Weir. William Weir died at age 82 years old on August 15, 1955 in Cheltenham, and was buried at Ballarat New Cemetery in Invermay Park, City of Ballarat County.

Fourth son of Scottish emmigrants Duncan Weir and Elizabeth Anderson.Loved father in law of Annie Maude Park. Loved grandfather of Anne,Janet, Ian, Pam and Suzanne. Buried at the Ballarat New Cemetery 19th of August 1955.

The Act restored full civil rights to secessionists, including about 150,000 former slaves who had fought in the Confederate Army.
