William George Cassidy of Parkville, City of Melbourne County, VIC Australia was born on February 18, 1896 in Deniliquin, NSW to John Cassidy and Catherine (Gunn) Cassidy. He had a brother Fredrick Bernard Cassidy. He married Lilian Cremor Wraith in 1917, and had children William Stanley Peace Cassidy and John Fredrick Cassidy. William Cassidy died at age 84 years old on February 6, 1981 in Parkville, VIC.

Now an unincorporated territory of the U.S., the Canal Zone had been previously held by the French, who were constructing a canal.
