    William H Yessick Jr. is the son of William H Yessick Sr and Rosa B Yessick. He had an older sister Francis Yessick and they grew up living in Birmingham, Jefferson, Alabama. He attended Auburn University (Auburn, Alabama, USA) and was part of the class of 1949. He studied Industrial Design and was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. William married Annette Parker on Sunday December 15, 1950 at the Capitol Heights Baptist Church in Birmingham with the Rev. Robert Edge officiating. The couple went on to have 3 daughters, Pat Bear, Laurie Yessick, and Lanie Kelzer, Later in life, he was a Private in the Air Corps of the United States Military. He enlisted on April 17, 1945, at Cp Shelby Mississippi and was a member of the Reserve and was exclusive of Regular Army Reserve and Officers of the Officers Reserve Corps on active duty under the Thomason Act.

This meant that he was a member of the Reserve and was not considered a part of the Regular Army Reserve or Officers of the Officers Reserve Corps who were on active duty under the Thomason Act. William H Yessick Jr. enlisted for the duration of the war or other emergency, plus six months, subject to the discretion of the President or otherwise according to law. This was a standard term of enlistment during World War II, which allowed the military to retain personnel for the duration of the war, plus an additional six months, if necessary.

    William Henry Yessick, Jr., resident of San Jose, age 84, passed away Friday, December 2, 2011. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Annette Yessick, 3 daughters, Pat Bear, Laurie Yessick, and Lanie Kelzer, and his sister, Fran Treadaway. He leaves 4 grandchildren, Jed Bear, Autum Bear, Charles Kelzer, and Holly Kelzer, and 2 great-grandchildren, Scarlet and Violet Bear. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, December 10, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 3137 Forbes Avenue, Santa Clara, CA. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to the Gideons International, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, or the Lewey Body Dementia Association, Inc. Annette Parker weds William Yessick, Jr., in capital church
MONTGOMERY, Ala., Dec. 15- The marriage of Miss Annette Parker and William H. Yessick, Jr., of Birmingham, took place Sunday afternoon at 4:30 at the Capitol Heights Baptist Church, the Rev. Robert Edge officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. md Mrs. Earl Holmes Parker. Mr. Yessick is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Yessick, of Birmingham. The nuptial music was presented by Miss Margaret Hayslette, organist, Shafer Gregory, Jr., and G. Hunt, Jr., of Birmingham, vocalists.

THE ALTAR was banked with smilax, woodwardia fern, palms and cathedral tapers. Candles were lighted by Miss Jane Garrett and Miss Nan Green. They wire identical gowns of yellow taffeta with sweetheart neckline and gathered skirt with which they wore corsages of wisteria of orchid pompon chrysanthemums.

The bride, given in marriage by father, wore a gown of ivory duchess satin, the fitted bodice featuring a yoke of marquisette edged with satin bertha caught with small clusters of pearlized orange blossoms. The gathered skirt with bustle ended in a long train.

Her finger-tip veil of illusion was attached to a poke bonnet of lace and orange blossoms. She carried a white prayer book with marker of white orchid showered with stephanotis. Mrs. Leroy Treadaway, of Birmingham, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honor. Her gown of powder blue chiffon was made with fitted basque and sweetheart neck-line, the bouffant skirt caught with tiny bows. She wore a halo of matching taffeta and carried a cas cade bouquet of yellow roses.

MISS TOYCE PARKER. sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. Her gown of shell pink chiffon was like that of Mrs. Treadaway, and she carried a bouquet of rose car-nations.William H. Yessick, of Birmingham, served his son as best man. Ushers included Charles Henderson, Felix 'Harris, Jr., Dempsey Pennington, and Charles Earnest Hagler, all of Birmingham.

The bride's parents entertained with a reception at their home on Capitol Avenue. For her wedding trip, the bride wore a cinnamon suit with dark brown accessories and a corsage white orchids. Mr. and Mrs. Yessick will make their home in Birmingham.
