Annette Parker weds William Yessick, Jr., in capital church
MONTGOMERY, Ala., Dec. 15- The marriage of Miss Annette Parker and William H. Yessick, Jr., of Birmingham, took place Sunday afternoon at 4:30 at the Capitol Heights Baptist Church, the Rev. Robert Edge officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. md Mrs. Earl Holmes Parker. Mr. Yessick is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Yessick, of Birmingham. The nuptial music was presented by Miss Margaret Hayslette, organist, Shafer Gregory, Jr., and G. Hunt, Jr., of Birmingham, vocalists.
THE ALTAR was banked with smilax, woodwardia fern, palms and cathedral tapers. Candles were lighted by Miss Jane Garrett and Miss Nan Green. They wire identical gowns of yellow taffeta with sweetheart neckline and gathered skirt with which they wore corsages of wisteria of orchid pompon chrysanthemums.
The bride, given in marriage by father, wore a gown of ivory duchess satin, the fitted bodice featuring a yoke of marquisette edged with satin bertha caught with small clusters of pearlized orange blossoms. The gathered skirt with bustle ended in a long train.
Her finger-tip veil of illusion was attached to a poke bonnet of lace and orange blossoms. She carried a white prayer book with marker of white orchid showered with stephanotis. Mrs. Leroy Treadaway, of Birmingham, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honor. Her gown of powder blue chiffon was made with fitted basque and sweetheart neck-line, the bouffant skirt caught with tiny bows. She wore a halo of matching taffeta and carried a cas cade bouquet of yellow roses.
MISS TOYCE PARKER. sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. Her gown of shell pink chiffon was like that of Mrs. Treadaway, and she carried a bouquet of rose car-nations.William H. Yessick, of Birmingham, served his son as best man. Ushers included Charles Henderson, Felix 'Harris, Jr., Dempsey Pennington, and Charles Earnest Hagler, all of Birmingham.
The bride's parents entertained with a reception at their home on Capitol Avenue. For her wedding trip, the bride wore a cinnamon suit with dark brown accessories and a corsage white orchids. Mr. and Mrs. Yessick will make their home in Birmingham.
