  • Introduction

    Son of William Walser and Solome Snider and husband of Elizabeth "Betsy" Ann Michael. William resided in Davidson County and enlisted in Company B, 57th North Carolina Infantry in Rowan County at the age of 33 on July 4, 1862, for the war. He was reported present or accounted for through October 31, 1862. He was hospitalized in Richmond, Virginia on December 9, 1862. He died in hospital at Richmond on or about January 12, 1863 of typhoid fever.
