He married Isabella Margaret (Mawson) Taylor in 1899, and had children Wilhelmina Alexandrina Elizabeth Ann Taylor, William Alex Thomas Taylor, Margaret Ellen Taylor, Roy John Taylor, and Lucy Jean Taylor. William Taylor died at age 36 years old on May 4, 1919 in Mooroopna, Greater Shepparton City County.
