He married Pearl (Ireland) Lincoln on May 21, 1896 in St Kilda, Victoria Australia, and had a child Marguerite Clair (Lincoln) Liddle. William Lincoln died on August 18, 1917 in Sydney, NSW Australia, and was buried at Waverley Cemetery, in Bronte.
