25 Photos of Native American History
These images provide us a glimpse into the Native American people and their way of life. Before European explorers arrived in North America, scholars believe that there were upwards of 50 million Native Americans living across all of the Americas. According to the U.S. Census Bureau there are 550 Federally recognized tribes, and only 4.5 million Native Americans remaining in the United States today. These proud people have a fascinating history that was almost completely lost. However, thanks to a handful of photographers we have these photos today to remember their way of life.
