William Motley William Lee "Bill" Motley, 68, of 1641 N. Main St., died Sunday, March 30, 1997, at Danville Regional Medical Center. Born June 15, 1928, in Danville, he was the son of William Obie Motley and Merle Millner Motley. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and worked as a contract milk hauler for Sealtest for 28 years. He was a member of Redmen and the V.F.W. His wife was Gloria Richardson Motley, who survives. In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include two daughters, Mary Lee Motley Wall of Brosville and Merle Ann Motley of Kernersville, N.C.; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at Townes Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Steve Carlton and the Rev. Johnny Jones. Interment will be in Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 Tuesday night at Townes Funeral Home, and other times will be at the residence.
