Wilma Eleanor Zink Hurley
I have an old studio photograph identified as Willma Elenor ZINK which was taken at the Meddaugh Patriquin Studio in Lead, SD. Willma is identified as just two months old at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Willma and her family:
Wilma Eleanor ZINK was b. 2 Jan 1898 in Spearfish, SD to parents William Albert ZINK (1857-1936) and Eleanor “Ella” Mary BRENNAN or BRANNAN (1866-1951). Wilma was one of 6 children born to this couple including Eva E.; William Lloyd; Beatrice Lakota; Wilma Eleanor; Howard William; and Harold ZINK, all born between 1888 and 1910.
Wilma married John Daniel HURLEY (1889-1965) on 16 Dec 1924 in Rapid City, SD and she died 13 Sept 1993 in Spearfish, SD and is buried in the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD. It doesn’t appear that she had any children since her obituary lists only nephews, nieces, and a cousin surviving her.
