My Grandmother's profession was loving Jesus and loving others. She was a beautiful example of Christ's love to everyone she met and was the gentlest soul. She drew everyone to her by her sweet disposition and compassionate ways. Not a single person could find fault with her because she loved so completely and showed so much mercy to everyone. It's been almost 30 years since she passed and she is still so VERY dearly missed!
Personal Life & Family

She was very active in every church she attended. Her father was a minister and her husband was a minister for some time as well. She played the piano and the organ by ear, both as a child and as an adult, for church services. She and her husband, Hubert, started a very successful singles ministry out of their home in their senior years and they saw many members become engaged and go on to have life-long, committed marriages because of the example and lessons they received from my Grandparents. Many singles came to Christ during their time at the singles study. My Grandparents also began going to various groceries to pick up the food they threw out on specific days of the week. My Grandfather would pick it up and load it in his truck and my Grandmother would help him sort it in their Living Room so families could come by later those days to fill a grocery bag with things they could use to feed their families. It helped so many people who were struggling financially and made a real difference. They did this for a few years until legislation was passed that prevented groceries from setting out food like that. It was upsetting to the grocery Managers and to my Grandparents who only wanted to help people.
