  • Introduction

    According to his enlistment record in WW2, Wilmon entered as a private. He had 4 years of high school (he later became a lawyer), his civil occupation was listed as "checkers", he enlisted on August 30 1942 at Camp Livingston LA, and at the time he was 71 inches tall and weighed 160 lbs. According to Wilmon's hospital record while serving in the Army Transportation Corps during WW2, he was hospitalized for a cyst in his bladder that existed prior to his service. He was treated with fulguration (destruction of tissue using electric sparks) Wilmon was married to Annie Mae (Lawson) Richardson (1921-2005). According to his obituaryin the Daily World, Opelousas LA, September 7 1975, he was survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs Tewel Jackson (Houston TX), his mother Mrs Reba Pynes, and one sister, Mrs. Oille Doddins (Chicago IL).
