Winton Wilfred Wilcox 1920 - 2007

Winton Wilfred Wilcox of Sacramento, Sacramento County, CA was born on November 15, 1920 in Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai County, Idaho United States to Ada (Bronson) Wilcox and Clifford Minor Wilcox. He had siblings Claudine (Wilcox) Morical, Ruby (Wilcox) Farrell, Rebecca (Wilcox) Padberg, Yvonne (Wilcox) Wilcox, and Gladomine (Wilcox) Berridge. Winton was baptized circa 1928 at Some RLDS church in Seattle, King County, WA. He married LaPreal (Elsie) (Adams) Craig in 1938 in Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri and they later divorced in 1975 in Sacramento, Sacramento County, California. He had children Winton Wilfred Wilcox Junior, Juanita LaPreal (Wilcox) Lyons, Clifford Murray Wilcox, and Kimi Sue (Wilcox) Malach. Winton Wilcox died at age 86 years old on January 31, 2007, and was buried cremation of cadaver remains at UC Davis School of Medicine in Davis or Sacramento.

Anchorage in a doctor's group through June 1963. On staff at Althea Dixon Mental Hospital in NC while in school. Private practice in Psychiatry, on staff at Sacramento County Medical Center, owner of a Methadone clinic, forensic expert seeing patients at Napa, Ca to determine fitness to stand trial all during 1966-to late 1980's. Kept his medical license until about 2 years before he died.

    Doc died in his own bed in his own home on Roseburg Court in the East Rosemont portion of Sacramento, CA after a series of strokes, heart surgery, growing bladder cancer, back problems, swallowing problems left from a long intubation. He was alert, oriented, and as always a teacher, sharing his experience with family gathered around. His daughter, Juanita, an RN, his wife, Mary Lou, also an RN, his ex-wife LaPreal, his son Winton Jr (Dub), and son Clifford were all present. His other daughter, Kimi was not present nor were his grandchildren, though he was able to speak to them on the phone that day.
