1935 Photo of my Great Grandmother Nettie Cunningham Woodcock, b.1855, d. 1941
This is the Mother of my Grandmother on my Mother's side of the family. Lots of Mothers!
Nettie Cunningham Woodcock
b. May 22, 1855 Charlotte Co., New Brunswick Province, Canada or ME
d. Jan 3, 1941 Eureka, Humboldt Co., CA
Married to Hubert Hiram Woodcock
b. April 1846 Tower Hill, St. David Parish, Charlotte Co., New Brunswick Province, Canada
d. after 1933 in Eureka, Humboldt Co., CA
The story I heard was the Woodcock and Cunningham families first settled in Maine. When the boundaries of the United States were finally drawn,
the Woodcocks and Cunninghams found themselves living in Canada. They migrated to California and settled on the coast in Eureka. I am sure this happened to many immigrants during the formation of the USA. Many of the state boundaries changed more than once until they formed into what we know today as the United States.
