A. L. Merrill

I have an old studio photograph of A. L. MERRILL of Auburn, ME which was taken at the Curtis & Ross Studio in Lewiston, ME. It appears to be a graduation photograph taken in the 1880's with the inscription "E.L.H.S. 1886" on the back of the photograph. I believe that this is a photograph of Albert Leonard MERRILL. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Albert and his family:

Albert Leonard MERRILL was b. 17 Jun 1866 of 1867 in Auburn, ME to parents Rotheus or Rothius Willard MERRILL (1841-1913) and Phebe or Phoebe Haskell STEVENS (1841-1915) who were married 21 Nov 1864 in Auburn, ME. Albert was one of four children born to this couple including Albert Leonard; Thirsa Ella; Agnes Bertha; and Alice Gertrude MERRILL, all born between 1866 and 1874. Albert married Helen “Nellie” Myla STOCKMAN (1869-1966) on 4 May 1889 in Auburn, ME and they had two children including Albert Edwin MERRILL (1902-1987) and Norma Edith MERRILL (1909-2007). Albert died 26 Oct 1940 in Auburn, ME and is buried in the Mount Auburn Cemetery in Auburn, ME.
