Alexander Vallance
Alexander Vallance was born 27 May 1862 in Greenup County, Kentucky and died 21 June 1915 in Clay County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Henry Vallance and Mary McNeal of Greenup Co., Kentucky. Alexander is buried in the Polly Marcum Cemetery, near Big Creek, Clay Co., Kentucky. He married Mary Jane Bowling 25 May 1891 in Leslie, Kentucky. She was born 12 July 1858 in Clay County Kentucky and died 1927 in Clay County, Kentucky. They were the parents of three children. Henry, the father of Alexander was wounded in the Civil War at a battle near the Yazoo River in Mississippi and died 4 Jan 1863 on a hospital boat on the Mississippi river in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
