Allen Olmsted Brophy
I have an old studio photograph of Allen O. BROPHY which was taken at the Carl Tornquist Studio in West Duluth, MN when Allen was 5 months old. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Allen and his family:

Allen Olmsted BROPHY was b. 24 Nov 1889 in Duluth, MN to parents Dr. Reuben Cleveland BROPHY (1855-1940) and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Maud OLMSTED (1859-1900) who were married in Elgin, IL about 1879. Allen was one of 5 children born to this couple including Mildred Emma; Mabel Louise; Allen Olmsted; Elizabeth “Bessie” Gertrude; and Cleveland Carlisle BROPHY, all born between 1882 and 1892, the last two being twins.

Allen married Ruth Arvilla TUCKER (1895-1979) on 22 Oct 1919 in Rockford, IL and they had two sons, William “Bill” Rueben BROPHY (1922-2018) and John BROPHY (b. 1924). Allen died 14 Aug 1972 in Fargo, ND and he is buried in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.

I am hoping to get the photograph to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
