Alta Lavonne (Kidd) Humphrey

Alta Lavonne Kidd is my mom. I am her only child. Are you related through the Kidd, Mitchell, or Batton line?

I have no idea. But I seen this name in my line. My mom was adopted at a early age.

No, she and her part of the Kidd line were in Oklahoma. She DID live in California from 1952 to 1954, but moved back to OK until her death there in 2014. Lavonne never had children (so she always claimed) before me - I am from her second marriage, but her first husband lived in my hometown with his second wife and daughter from that marriage. Some of the Kidds in the California/New Mexico/Washington area are from her Aunts and Uncles; Virgil Kidd, Monroe Kidd and Mildred Kidd all moved out there. Mildred could have had a child she put up for adoption - little is known about her (born in 1916) - she abandoned her two children to her husband in her divorce (married 1933, divorced 1943); she never had more children that we know of, and she died in 1968. The only male Kidd relatives I can track names for in the Western USA are Michael and Marvin Kidd. I am not in touch with either of them.
If my mom had kids she never talked about, i would be glad to know of it and welcome new family. :)

Thanks for responding. I have Clements in my line too. Maybe they were from my Russell side? My dad is the Russell. My mom ? ( Thompson side) technically she was born a Johnson. Adopted to Thompson. But thanks 👍.

I am learning more about the Clements side as i go - The men's names are Gerald Dean, Richard Lee, William Eugene, Clarence Pearl, Eugene Edward, Orval David, Cyrus, Johnathon C, Clarence H. Beyond that, I kind of lose the thread. I haven't found any Thompsons or Johnsons in my line(s), but keep it in mind as i keep researching. :)
