Anella D. Chrisman was born on Jan. 28, 1932, in Lagonda, Mo., to parents Roscoe and Ruth Regenold Chrisman. She grew up in a large family with siblings Robert, Nancy, Frances, Ruth, Betsy, Roxie, Byron, and Roscoe. She married Donald E "Gene" Oldham (1932-2019) on Dec. 6, 1952, in Sacramento, California. The couple had children together including Toni, Mary Ellen, and Ruth Oldham.
