She was only known as "Angelita" and was a successful opera singer in Havana Cuba. Nobody called her "Edelmira." When i was a kid I became her manager/publicist for an entire summer and got her paid work as a singer. ANGELITA JISKOOT, 68, Condel Drive, Orlando, born January 2, 1931 and died Wednesday, May 12, 1999. Mrs. Jiskoot was a lyric soprano. Born in Havana, the daughter of Alfredo and Angelica Montalbo Farinas. She raised three children in Brooklyn, NY and the last year of her life she moved to Central Florida in 1999. She was Lutheran. Survivors: sons, Daniel A., Orlando, Bjorn A., Bartow; daughter, Madelaine "Maggie" C., Orlando; brothers, Erasmo Farinas [deceased in 2016], Tarrytown, N.Y., Paco Farinas,[deceased] Cuba; sister, Pilar DeLapaz, Miami; three grandchildren. Union Park Memorial Chapel Home, Orlando. ANGELITA A. JISKOOT, 68, Condel Drive, Orlando, died Wednesday, May 12, 1999. Mrs. Jiskoot was an opera singer. Born in Havana, and a New York resident for most of her life, she moved to Central Florida in 1999. She was Lutheran.
