Anna Ehlers Ausenbaum
I’ve got an old studio photograph which is identified as Anna EHLERS AUSENBAUM which was taken at the J. K. Stevens & Son Co. Studio in Chicago, IL. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890’s or early 1900’s with Anna appearing to be in her teens at the time the photograph was taken.

Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Anna and her family:

Anna EHLERS was born in Illinois and married William Ruger AUSENBAUM (1872-1943) in Chicago, IL on 25 May 1905. Anna is listed as 25 years old at the time of her marriage. She died sometime between 1920 and 1930 in Illinois and is buried in the Bronswood Cemetery in Oak Brook, IL. The couple had only one child, a daughter Myrtle AUSENBAUM.

Her husband William was b. 5 Dec 1872 in Grant Park, IL the son of Adam William AUSENHAUM (1844-1941) and Adeline or Adaline CANTWAY (1841-1923). William had one sister, Cora or Carrie M. AUSENHAUM b. 1877 and a brother, Herb AUSENBAUM (1890-1971). William died 2 May 1943 in Hinsdale, IL.

I am hoping to find someone from this family to get the photograph to their care. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
