Ruth Ardella (Gravley) Morgan was born on September 4, 1912 at Slayton, Murray, Minnesota to Aslag Oscar Gravley and Ella "Ellen" Matilda (Pierson) Gravley, and had siblings Orville Sigvor Gravley, Pearl Myrtle Gravley, Elmer Carlton Gravley, Esther Adeline (Gravley) Larson, Lenore Berdella Gravley, and Kenneth Gordon Gravley. She married Everett Francis Morgan on October 6, 1932, and they were married until Everett's death on August 1, 1959. They had children Donna Mae (Morgan) Wolner, Joyce Ellen Morgan, Gene Everett Morgan, Lee James Morgan, and John Duane Morgan. She would also marry Oscar James Dowd in 1966, and they were married until Ruth's death on April 16, 1988.
