This is likely a Herndon or a Herndon relative from Russell or more likely Washington County, Va. The photographer, C.R. Campbell, Lebanon, Va., is written on the back. It was found in a small purple display book with an outside clasp, and contained a number of tintypes and other paper photos. One contained the name of the Abingdon, Va. photographer G.N. Wertz. One of the photos was actually a small postcard with the notice "Copyright 1911 by The Chicago Feddottypr Co. On the inside of the book cover was written "In God we trust. 10-1-6"
