Benjamin (called Deacon) Rider was born 3 Dec 1761/62 Provincetown, MA, died 20 Mar 1854 Painesville, OH, married 10 Apr 1788 Braintree, MA Sarah Pratt born 1 Jun 1764 Hardwick, MA, died 23 Sept 1860 Painesville, OH. He was s/o Benjamin Rider and Achsah or Experience Crosby. Both Benjamins werved in the Revolutionary War. Sarah was d/o Rufus Pratt and Hannah Ball. Rufus died of wounds at the battle of Bennington (now VT) in the Rev. War. In 1816 they moved to Chardon, OH. In old age, they moved into their son's (Isaiah) home in Painesville, OH where they died.
