Bertha and Harry, Indiana
I’ve “rescued” an old photograph which was taken at the Harnish Studio in Noblesville, IN. It appears to have been taken in the 1880’s and identifies the children in the photograph as “Bertha age 10 years and Harry age 7 years”. I’m hoping to locate a family in the Hamilton County Indiana area that might be a match so that the photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you know this family please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
Date & Place: in Noblesville, Hamilton County, Indiana United States

130 years ago, these two children lived in Indiana. They put on their Sunday best and had their picture taken - and now, they're separated from their family.

1880 census for Jackson, Hamilton, Indiana lists Bertha E., age 4 and Harry E., age 1, children of Warren & Florence A. McConnell. I don't know if it's the right family, but it's a possibility.

Does anyone ever think that the family has died and nobody exists today? One reason why they are found at rummage sales or flea markets
