Bertha and Harry, Indiana
Bertha and Harry, Indiana
I’ve “rescued” an old photograph which was taken at the Harnish Studio in Noblesville, IN. It appears to have been taken in the 1880’s and identifies the children in the photograph as “Bertha age 10 years and Harry age 7 years”. I’m hoping to locate a family in the Hamilton County Indiana area that might be a match so that the photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you know this family please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
Was my Grandpa. Smelled of the barn & Gallo wine. Loved Canidian crusty bread with home-made strawberry preserves & cottage cheese. Ate cod fish & milk gravy every Friday. Last words “Kiss me Nell”. Came over from County Kerry, with his wife Nell (Sullivan from Cork) in the early 20th century to Staten Island. Eventually moved to Up-State NY (Altona) and purchased 3 farms for himself, John & Jeremiah & ran dairy until he died. Nellie stoppped living when she lost him, sadly. He had piercing blue eyes.
