Bessie PERKINS
I have in my possession an old studio portrait photograph of Bessie PERKINS which was taken at the Newell & Co. Studio in Portsmouth, NH when she was just 6 months old in the 1880’s. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Bessie and her family:

Bessie York PERKINS was b. 2 Sept 1882 in Newmarket, NH to parents Charles William or Wayne PERKINS (1842-1916) and Mary Elizabeth SANBORN (1845-1924) who were married 7 Mar 1875 in Newmarket, NH. Bessie was one of 6 children born to this couple including Ethel Winslow; William Lyford; Wayne Arthur; Bessie York; and Mary Irma or Anna; and Baby Girl PERKINS, all born between 1876 and 1887. Bessie married Patrick Henry DOHERTY (b. 1869) 17 Jun 1919 in Brockton, MA and they had a daughter, Frances Elizabeth DOHERTY APPLEGET (1920-2011). Bessie died 30 Jun 1958 in Brockton, MA.

I am hoping to locate someone from Bessie’s family so that her photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
