Beverly Louise (Mullen) Keen was born in Tucson Arizona in August 1942. She left her earthly home in February 2017. As a child she lived in Reseda California before moving with her family to Springville during her teens. This was a huge culture shock according to Beverly, who had grown up with sidewalks, gutters, and indoor plumbing! While attending Porterville High School, she met and later married her high school sweetheart, Russell Keen. Russell and Beverly moved numerous times but wound up living in Springville again in 1993. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Katherine (Potter) Mullen and her husband, Russell Keen.
Beverly is survived by three younger brothers Harold Mullen, Bruce Mullen, and Brian Mullen and one younger sister Lori (Mullen) Jones; her two children, Edward Keen and Lisa (Keen) Piotrowski; four grandchildren Joleen and Racquel Keen, and Blake and Ivy Fixler; and 3 great-grandchildren Ajrian, Oscar, and Ernesto.
Beverly was an honorable wife and protective mother. She was a homemaker and an avid seamstress and wore many of her own designs. She loved to spend hours in her flower garden and enjoyed feeding all of the birds in the neighborhood. Beverly was a lifelong member of the Springville Church of Christ and loved to wear her fancy hats to Sunday Services.
Gilbert E Mullen of Springville, Tulare County, CA was born on August 23, 1922 to Omer Mullen and Bertha A Mullen. He had siblings Hugh Franklin Mullen, Reba Ann Branum, and Grady E Mullen. He married Katherine L Mullen on August 23, 1941 in Santa Cruz, Pinal County, Arizona United States, and had children Beverly Louise Keen and Harold Gilbert Mullen. Gilbert Mullen died at age 74 years old on May 24, 1997.
