Bill & Shirley O'Brien

William (Bill) F O'Brien was born on September 2 1920 to Frank and Marie O'Brien in Bridgeport CT. He married Shirley Burstein (1922-2014) on November 11 1944. Together they raised 8 children: William (Bill) April 2, 1946, Margaret (Peggy) June 14, 1947, Kathleen (Kathy) Jan 26, 1949-Feb 24, 2008, Thomas and his twin James (Tom & Jim) Feb 6, 1952, Judith (Judy) May 25, 1954-April 26, 2003, Daniel (Dan) March 2, 1959-October 25, 2022, and Joan May 30, 1962. Their children gave them 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren A veteran of World War II, William enlisted in the United States Army on February 21, 1943, and was discharged on October 25, 1945. He was a T Sgt in the United States Army Air Corps. A T Sgt - technical Sergeant - is qualified to perform highly complex technical duties in addition to providing supervision. He was responsible for the career development of each subordinate under his supervision.
