Boston Symphony Cellist Piller Dies
BOSTON (AP) - Boaz Piller, 77, first cellist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, has died on vacation in Sestri Levante, Italy.

Piller, Dutch - born U.S. citizen, was stricken Tuesday while visiting Sestri Levante with his wife. The body will be flown to the United States for burial.

Boaz Piller was born on August 26, 1887 in The Hague, The Hague, ZH Netherlands. He immigrated to the US arriving in New Orleans, Louisiana. He later resided in Boston, Massachusetts and Portland, Maine. While in Boston he was a musician and was the first cellist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. In March of 1964, Boaz and his wife took a vacation to Sestri Levante, Italy and he passed away there. See Boston Symphony Cellist Piller Dies.
