Buried in Canada Hollow Cemetery

The thirteen year old son of Peter Petersen, a farmer living on the county line in Elk River township Clinton county, was accidentally killed last Wednesday evening by falling upon the point of an open knife which he had in hand. The blade pierced the boys neck and he died very soon after. This Mr Petersen also lost a daughter in the early spring with that often fatal disease spotted fever. The daughter was a bright young lady of nine and the father had just purchased an organ expressly for her the day before she was taken ill.
