C.A. Richard Johnson, 70, 397 Burke St., Bourbonnais, a retired teacher, died at 6:30 a.m. today at St. Mary's Hospital, following a six-day illness.
He was born Oct. 19, 1911 at Momence to Mr. and Mrs. Martin Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a graduate of Momence High School and Wheaton College. His master of science degree was from Michigan State University.
He first taught at the rural Edgetown school, Momence, and then at Momence Elementary School. He was named to the Glen Ellyn Junior High School staff in 1947 and taught biology and was the cross-country coach at Glenbard West High School until he retired in 1972.
A resident of Bourbonnais since 1974, he was a member of the College Church of the Nazarene and the chancel choir.
