This is a hand drawn calling card ca. 1865-1870 with Q. P. Coffman, Piketon, Stoddard County, MO. on the reverse side that is also hand printed. The message around the edges combined with the dove has a religious theme. It was found in papers of a William G. Horton who lived in Stoddard County, MO 1860-1870
Can anyone tell the occupation of Q. P. Coffman? Was he a photographer? Why would he use a calling card? What is the significance of the dove & the poem around the edges?
