Edith Theresa Mulligan was born on October 15, 1911 at Newton, Prince, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Edith was baptized on October 22, 1911 in Kinkora, Prince Edward Island County Canada. Edith Mulligan died at age 88 years old on October 4, 2000 in Jersey City, New Jersey United States.

Mary Elaine (Connell) Coughlan
A funeral mass was celebrated Aug. 11 for Mary Elaine Connell, 73, of Jersey City. She passed away Aug. 6 at her residence. A life-long Jersey City resident, Mary Elaine was a graduate of Saint Patrick Grammar School, the Academy of Saint Aloysius, Seton Hall University and Seton Hall Law School. Throughout her life Mary Elaine worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, The Archdiocese of Newark, The Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority and Saint Patrick Church. Mary Elaine was an active member of her community and was a member and past president of the Sodality of the Children of Mary of Saint Teresa. She was a committee member of the Women’s Commission of The Archdiocese of Newark and an active communicant of Saint Patrick and Assumption All Saints Parish. Mary Elaine was predeceased by her parents, Theresa and Charles J. Connell. She is survived by the McDermott family, the Dillon family and the McGovern family who are her many cousins and extended family. She is also survived by her godchildren, Cathi Dillon DeWald and Keith J’Rel Cummings and a host of dear friends. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.

Charles J. Connell of Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey was born on September 26, 1901 in Portland, Cumberland County, Maine United States to Jennie Jane Louise (Callan) Connell and Patrick Henry Connell. Charles Connell had siblings William Henry Connell and George Callan Connell. He married Alma Erskine (McLellan) Connell on March 29, 1934, and they were married until Alma's death on October 20, 1940. He also married Edith Theresa "Tessie" Mulligan, and they were married until death separated them in 1934. They had a child Mary Elaine (Connell) Coughlan. Charles Connell died at age 77 years old on August 18, 1979 in Jersey City, Hudson County, NJ, and was buried on August 22, 1979 at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City.
