Cotton Gin Era Boarding House in Day Florida
This old boarding house and pioneer hotel still stand in Day on the banks of Brewer Lake in Lafayette County Florida. It is under removation and stands across the dirt road from where the first cotton gin stood in Day. My Great Grandfather Isaac Newton Barrs also owned a two story pioneer hotel called in Day called The Day House. He also owned the I. N. Barrs General Store there. The photo was taken sometime in the early 1900s by an unknonw photographer... Al Barrs
