He had siblings Doreen Elaine (Newcombe) Hodsdon, Glendon Harold Newcombe Jr, Wesley Arthur Newcombe, Gary Arthur Newcombe, and Leanne Irene (Newcombe) DiBenedetti. He was the father of Edward Maurice Newcombe and Franchesca Elaine Newcombe. Douglas Newcombe died at age 39 years old on November 25, 1999.
