Dr. Ebenezer Bush, Jr. DDS, known as "E.B.", was a prominent African American dentist and community leader. He became a Master Dentist, a pioneer in dental implant surgery, and completed a postgraduate residency in anesthesia at Harbor USC Medical Center. He also founded Project Tutor, an organization to help kids read, and was involved in numerous organizations such as the NAACP, Long Beach Community Credit Union, and the Long Beach City College Foundation. He received many awards and honors, including the key to the city of Long Beach and was invited to the White House during the George H.W. Bush Administration in honor of his civic and philanthropic contributions. He and his wife, Wynona, were married for 65 years and had two sons, both of whom became doctors themselves.
