Very appropriate for AncientFaces! Born in 1915, young adult Eleanor Halverson Washburn Aune browsing an album of old photos. I wonder if it was an album of her ancestors or simply a prop.
I have an album just like this. I also have a wedding picture of my great grandfather & grandmother. My Gram was born in 1898, so I would guess the picture dates back to somewhere in late 1870's. No one ever smiled in any of the pictures I have. I wonder why?
AncientFaces This picture of her standing up looking at the Album....it seems as if there is someone else to the right of the pic, like this pic was "more" that what we see. Just noting. Also, It makes sense that she was standing and looking, then sitting and looking. How many of us have done that? hehe. Began to look, but then sat to REALLY look because it was so interesting.
Brenda Krech Harper I noticed the hair, too. One has very wavy and the other straighter. Also, the tie on the shirt is different. I wasn't sure it was even the same young lady.
Oh the quilt on her lap! I wish I could see it better. As a quilter I am always looking for old pics at Antique Stores with quilts in them and never find any.
