Elizabeth Hunt Preston McEwen
I have an old studio photograph of Elizabeth H. PRESTON of Troy, PA taken at the McFarlin Studio in Mansfield, PA and dated 1892 with reference to the M.S.N.S. Which refers to the Mansfield State Normal School which later become the Mansfield State Teachers College.

Elizabeth appears to be in her 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Elizabeth and her family:

Elizabeth “Libbie” Hunt PRESTON was b. 12 Jul 1868 or 1869 in Troy Township, Bradford Co., PA to parents Levi Chester or Colburn PRESTON (1824-1884) and Susan Eliza WEBBER (1838-1879) who were married 25 Feb 1857 in Troy, PA. Elizabeth was one of 6 children born to this couple including Mary Emeline; Frances “Fannie” Amelia; Elizabeth “Libbie” Hunt; Lucile “Lucy” Belle; Edward Jabez; and Ellen Louise PRESTON, all born between 1859 and 1875.

Elizabeth married David Alexander “Alex” MCEWEN (b. 1862 or 1864) on 2 Feb 1924 in New York City, NY and she died 15 Mar 1946 in Mahoning, PA and is buried in the Hunt/Porter Road Cemetery in Bradford County, PA.

I would like to see the photograph returned to her family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
