Ellen married John Tyson Donnelly (1882-1925) on May 7, 1919 in Queensland, Australia. They had multiple children together including Colin John (1912-1994), Tyson (1923-2002) and Vera Marion (1925-2012). She also married Walter Charles Hucker and had a child Evelyn Grace Hoggett, registered as Evelyn Grace Doneley (born 15-08-1906).
