Ellen Hoggett is the child of Rosanna Rebecca Martyn (1869-1960) and John Charles Hoggett (1858-1938). She was born on May 9, 1888 in Thargomindah, Queensland, Australia. She had siblings Albert Charles (1890-1903), Henry Austin (born 1892), George Martyn (1895-1903), William Robert (1897-1978), Kate (1900-1986), Sarah (1902-1995), Rosemary (1906-1947), Florence (1909-1984), and Doris (born 1911).
Ellen married John Tyson Donnelly (1882-1925) on May 7, 1919 in Queensland, Australia. They had multiple children together including Colin John (1912-1994), Tyson (1923-2002) and Vera Marion (1925-2012). She also married Walter Charles Hucker and had a child Evelyn Grace Hoggett, registered as Evelyn Grace Doneley (born 15-08-1906). Next she had Colin John Hoggett, registered as Colin John Hoggett, registered as Colin John Doneley (born 13-08-1912).
