Ernest A St George

Ernest Acheson St George was born to Acheson Quinton St George (1857 - 1931) who was born in Ireland and died in Los Angeles California, and Melissa May O'Brien (1882 - 1973), born in Ontario Canada and died in San Gabriel California. Ernest had full siblings Ewart Gladstone, Gordon Sterne, Elsie Mildred, Arthur William, and Edith Margaret St. George plus three more, and half siblings Henry "Harry", Elizabeth Blanche, Georgiana Lemma May, and Ethel Jessie St. George. Note: various genealogy records seem to repeat some siblings, but it's also possible that some siblings died young and their names were used again as this was a common practice at the time. Ernest married Margaret Charlotte Potter (1915 - 2001) on October 1, 1935, and they had five daughters. His World War 2 draft registration card states that he was white, age 26, worked for US Spring and Bumper Company, weighed 170 pounds, was 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a light complexion, gray eyes, and blonde hair. He stated that he was born in and lived in Rosemead California on October 16th, 1940. The 1940 census states that Ernest lived at 1205 Marshall St. El Monte, Los Angeles California with his wife Charlotte, who was 24 at the time, and daughters Roberta age 3, and Melissa age 2 and a 1/2. He said that he worked full time, year around and made $1800/year. He was a "sheareman", and his family owned their home.
