Son of Decatur (Dick) and Lucy Warner, Newron of Lee County, Ky. Served aboard the LST 519 as ships baker during WW II . He was a Plank Owner, part of the ships original crew. He served from 1941 -1945 in the Atlantic Fleet. His ship was later used to clean up radioactive waste and ultimately had to be destroyed. My father was very proud of his military service.
