Florence's father was Martin W. Kaveny (1859 - 1921), and her mother was Mary Exzilda Kaveny (1868 - 1937). She had siblings Marjoie, Theodore, and Cornelius.
Florence married Romeo John Baribeau (1885 - 1951) on September 1, 1919 in Berlin, New Hampshire. At the time of their marriage, Florence was a "book-keeper" (sic) and Romeo was a clerk. Romeo was born in Montreal, Canada. It was the first marriage for both. They were married until he died in 1951.
In the 1950 federal census, Florence was (57) and living in Wilder, Vermont., with her husband Romeo (63). Also in the household were sons Romeo (29), Gordon (27), and Lawrence (24), and lodger Allyn Kennedy (30). Dad Romeo wa a janitor and a private college, son Romeo was a chef at a hospital, son Gordon was and electrician at an electrical repair shop, and lodger Allyn was a truck driver.
Florence and Romeo later had a daughter, Lorraine.

I am 2nd generation San Jose and have seen a lot of changes in the area while growing up. We used to be known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (because the Valley was covered with orchards and there were many canneries to process the food grown here, which shipped all over the US) - now we have adopted the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley" and Apple, Ebay, Adobe, Netflix, Facebook, and many more tech companies are within a few miles of my current home in San Jose (including AncientFaces). From a small town of 25,000, we have grown to 1 million plus. And when you add in all of the communities surrounding us (for instance, Saratoga, where I attended high school, living a block from our previous Mayor), we are truly one of the big cities in the US. I am so very proud of my hometown.
