Four generations of Burch

Four generations: Henry Burch (1822-1907); William Burch (1846-1931); Ellsworth Burch (1871-1967); Ruth Darling Burch (1900-1989). Henry was born and farmed in Ohio, then moved to Steuben Co., IN, where William and Ellsworth were born. William farmed, but Ellsworth taught school and became a school administrator in Rock Island, IL, where he raised his family. Ruth, eldest child, worked in special education also in the Rock Island school system. She never married. Photo was probably taken in Edon, OH, or Metz or Angola, IN in 1903 or 1904.
