Frank was born to Joe Beltri and Constance Lopez. He had siblings William, Domonic (sic), Rose, Virginia, and Mary. In 1939, he listed his surname as Veltor - in 1941, he listed it as Veltri. On his WW2 draft registration card, Frank stated the following: He was 19, White, Born in Charleston, WV, lived in Spartanburg, South Carolina, was registering in Spartanburg (6/30/42), wasn't employed, weighed 200 lbs and was 5'5", had a light complexion, brown eyes, and black hair. His next of kin was his father. During WW2, he was listed in "West Virginia's Young Patriots." This publication said that he was 19, a Private in the US Army, was born in Kanawha WV, enlisted on Feb 18 1943 at Fort Thomas KY, and was fighting in Germany. He named his spouse as being Geneva Bean Veltri.

We used to be known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (because the Valley was covered with orchards and there were many canneries to process the food grown here, which shipped all over the US) - now we have adopted the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley" and Apple, Ebay, Adobe, Netflix, Facebook, and many more tech companies are within a few miles of my current home in San Jose (including AncientFaces). From a small town of 25,000, we have grown to 1 million plus. And when you add in all of the communities surrounding us (for instance, Saratoga, where I attended high school, living a block from our previous Mayor), we are truly one of the big cities in the US.
