West Virginians didn't dress up their little boys like girls. I have a photo of my dad on a pony dressed up in a cowboy costume around 1938. A photographer was making the rounds at the time I think. Anyhow, bless his sweet heart ~ one of the few times he probably experienced real joy as a little guy.
