George Grafton Allison
A photo of George Grafton Allison on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle . When George's sister, Grace, married my great-grandfather, John Burns Russell, he and John became the best of friends and they hung out together quite often. They both loved riding George's Harley. George proudly served his country during WWI serving as a corporal in Co D Engineers ONG (112 Engineers). He enlisted on 28 June 1916 and served in France at Meuse-Argonne; Ypres-Lys; Defensive Sector. He was wounded In action slightly on 6 Nov 1918. He also served as a member of the American Expeditionary Forces from 22 June 1918 until 1 Apr 1919 and was honorably discharged on 16 Apr 1919.
