George Tomlin in Iowa City, Iowa

We believe this was taken shortly after his marriage to Lavina Lawhead, and before he enlisted in the union army in the civil war.He enlisted in 1863 in the Iowa vol. 22 infantry Company B and was wounded at Vicksburg.

hi, i am very interested in the tomlin name. my great grandma was a tomlin, but i don't know that much about her. i do know she as born in kentucky and married a perkins. if any one has any information to share i will be happy to share what i have. thank you [contact link]
