He married Sarah Longmire in August 1888 in Clayton Twp, Crawford County, WI, and they were known to have six children: Floyd (tombstone reads only April 17, 1896), Frank (b.August 07, 1895, d.May 3, 1952, husband of Bertha), Lulu (b.1892, d.January 31, 1984, wife of Miles Van Fleet, Mother of Ellen Van Fleet Alexander), Pearl Blanch (b.1897, d.March 23, 1972, wife of Jay Dull), Lyall G. (1899-1942) and Mildred (b.1906).
